Get it right!

I am obsessed with quote-collecting. So much so, that my 'Quotes' board takes up almost half of my total 1.3K pins on Pinterest. (Just re-reading that makes me think I should get a hobby...)

I've come across a lot of sayings, one-liners, and inspirational messages. Today, a client of mine shared an inspirational quote that hit home for her and it's one that made me stop in my tracks and REALLY think (I love it when that happens!). Here it is:

"Don't stop trying when you get it right. Stop trying when you can't get it wrong."

This was from Geno Auriemma, the head coach of the University of Connecticut women's basketball team, who just so happens to be taking his team to the NCAA Final Four this weekend!

It's a little hard to digest at first, but once it does- it's so inspiring! I believe it's that kind of thinking that separates the 'good' from the 'great'. Whether you're an athlete or a business(wo)man ...you can't stop once you get it 'right' or when it's 'good'. You have to keep going...keep evolving. That is what makes you stand out- when your 'good' or your 'right' is better than your opponent's 'great'. Catch my drift? Made you think, didn't I...

  1. You are not alone when it comes to quote collecting! Thanks for sharing the above quote. I haven't heard that one before! Definitely pin worthy!
